Overview
A rapidly growing fintech company is expanding its core platform team. You will build and maintain the backend infrastructure supporting payment processing, settlements, and financial data reporting for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-availability payment processing systems
- Build APIs and services supporting card, ACH, and wire transfer flows
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams on financial controls
- Optimize systems for throughput, latency, and reliability at scale
- Lead technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions
Qualifications
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong Java or Go proficiency with distributed systems experience
- Prior experience with payment systems, fintech, or financial data
- Understanding of PCI DSS and financial data security requirements
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with card network integrations (Visa, Mastercard) or ACH
- Prior work at a fintech, neo-bank, or payment processor
- Knowledge of FIX protocol or trading systems
