Overview

A high-scale analytics company needs a Senior Backend Engineer with deep distributed systems experience to join their platform team. You will own critical data infrastructure and contribute to a product processing billions of events daily.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-throughput, fault-tolerant data processing systems
• Improve system reliability, latency, and operational observability
• Lead technical design reviews and architectural discussions
• Collaborate with infrastructure and data teams on platform evolution
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems focus
• Strong Java, Go, or Scala proficiency
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, or Apache Spark
• Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL database design
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex systems problems at scale

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ClickHouse, Apache Druid, or similar OLAP databases
• Background in streaming systems and event-driven architecture
• AWS or GCP certifications
